Military Crackdown in LA: Trump’s War on Immigrants Is a War on Dissent
Michelle Zuno, an immigrant rights organizer in Los Angeles, describes Trump's assault on Los Angeles after protesters rose up to stop the intensified ICE raids last week. Nearly 7,000 military personnel have been deployed to the streets of LA, LAPD has unleashed brutal force to suppress the protests, and Mayor Karen Bass has imposed a curfew. Zuno says despite the brutal repressive tactics, "the community response has been incredible. People are fighting back.”
